By virtue of Board of Regent Resolution No. 163, series of 2015
the Office of International Affairs has the following mandate:
Act as central coordinating office in leading the process of integrated internationalization and global engagements of the Institute.
Coordinate and oversee the development and updating of policies and guidelines pertaining to international affairs.
Coordinate and oversee the establishment, development and review of the Institute University's formal bilateral and multilateral relations and programs with global partners.
Spearhead the integration of global perspectives into the curriculum.
Provide leadership to engage the community served in global awareness initiatives.
Provide logistical, technical, and administrative support for international engagement in campus or abroad.
Coordinate and oversee the international diplomatic relations strategy with key government agencies and diplomatic missions overseas.
Coordinate the development, promulgation, and oversight of protocol for the management of high level incoming international visits and delegations.
Lead and coordinate in the management of an international visitor program for high level visitors to the University.
Plan and coordinate on offshore visits undertaken by senior officials of the Institute University.
Coordinate on matters involving endowment funds, scholarships and other grants from foreign sources.
Ensure that management review is conducted in all activities of the OIA
